On Saturday 11 January, some 25 intrepid souls braved the arctic conditions to make it to the Caledonian Centre’s first event of
2025, the Chilly Willy Lunch, held at the Garfield House Hotel, Stepps. There was much convivial conversation and general MG
banter in the lounge, prior to moving into our private dining room for the meal. The excellent and reasonably priced menu
consisted of three courses, with three choices for each course, plus coffee or tea. Each course was well presented and efficiently
served by the friendly and helpful staff, and there was even time at the end for more general mingling and chatting – we were not
hurried out as soon as the last coffee cup was put down!
Our sincere thanks go to Nancy Crichton for organising the event (and for the post-meal chocolates!) and to Liz Duncan for the
beautiful floral decorations on each of the three tables.
We look forward to seeing you at some/all of the many planned events during the coming year.
