2025 August Day Run – Review

2025 August Day Run – Review

Sun  24th August 2025

The start for the August run was Caulders garden centre Erskine, so it was an early start from home in sunny Dunfermline. There was a good mix of MGs, ranging from a 1970 roadster to a brand new HS.
The route over Glen Douglas was good and very quiet, we only had to pull in once and that was for a Land Rover coming from the other direction. It was a different story after we turned off for Lochgoilhead where we came to a halt as we met a bus, right at Moses’ well. It was a truly miraculous moment when we managed to squeeze past the bus on that narrow road.
A few of us gathered at The Goil Inn for lunch and some people had brought picnics. Lochgoilhead is a beautiful picturesque coastal village and it was a great spot for lunch.
We returned back to the Rest and Be Thankful and made our way to the finish at Loch Lomond Shores.
Many thanks to Paul Snee for organising this event, we certainly enjoyed it.
