….Barry had a lifelong interest in MGs perhaps inherited from his father who had a Z Magnette and he himself owned a large variety over the years with a special interest in Twin Cams but also with a Frontline Midget where he appeared to have ticked every box on the extras list! More recently there was a 50s TF and MGB GT and MGB roadster.
He always had an interest in motor sport, serving as an MSA official and being involved closely with getting the revitalized Bo’ness Hillclimb off the ground.
His wife Nancy has served the Centre as Secretary for many years and while Barry himself never served on Committee he was one of these ‘almost committee’ people who supported the committee at every event and helped in any way possible.
He could be opinionated and sometimes critical, but always fair. He was of his generation, and we will not see his like again.
