Chris’s Experience – Drive it Day to the Boathouse.
April One Day Run – Cultybraggan Camp

We all met up at Dobbies, Stirling, and because it was ‘Drive it Day’ other Classics were there too. MG’s from
other Clubs meant one could not just follow the MG in front !
Departing at 10:00 ish to give as much time to the WW 2 Cultybraggen Campsite, Museum and Barracks.
The scenic route was via Kinbuck to Braco and then head to Combrie and a coffee at the campsite cafe.
Lunch was at 1 o’Clock, it was avery enjoyable 50 minute drive to get there. Leaving Combrie then entering St. Fillins and Lochearnhead we arrived at Killin. Once there, took the winding road down the hill to ‘The Boathouse’ restaurant , next to the water, at one stage Seven RV8s were lined up in the car park, with spectacular views and an excellent lunch.
This is where my car needed a jump start to leave!….
Billy Wait had jump leads. My car gave up and we pulled into Kenmore. Billy Wait then TOWED my car to Crieff and we left it on a garage forecourt,  the fault was a broken wire at the starter.

I would like to convey how kind and selfless so many MG people were.
Billy Wait emerged a bit of a hero.
